The Newly Released Evaluation Report on the Local Contribution of Museums in Shanghai (2024) Once Again Introduces the Overseas Communication Cases of Our Museum

Recently, the Evaluation Report on the Local Contribution of Museums in Shanghai (2024) was released in Shanghai, systematically assessing the multi-dimensional contributions of museums to the city's development and providing valuable insights and solutions for the development of cultural and museum undertakings in global cities.

The "Local Contribution Evaluation System”, innovatively constructed in the Report, conducts a quantitative analysis of 171 registered museums in Shanghai based on three major dimensions - "Foundation Capacity", "Consumption Capacity", and "Attraction Capacity" , as well as nearly 50 cross-sectoral indicators.

The Report showcases the vivid practices of the Shanghai museum community in promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning through rich case studies. The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum was once again selected after being included in the 2023 Edition.

In April 2024, the initiative "Telling the Chinese Story of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" launched by our museum was honored to be named the Best Overseas Communication Case on the list of Top 100 Innovative Cases of Shanghai Cultural Brands.

The Report points out that our museum, located in the very place where the story of "Jewish Refugees in Shanghai" unfolded, has always been dedicated to preserving and passing down historical heritage, presenting to the public in an authentic way the hard times of mutual support, the profound human compassion, and the resilient optimistism of that era. Notably, we have consistently adhered to the "going out" stratege, vigorously promoting the shared values of humanity.
