In celebration of the centennial of the International Chopin Piano Competition and the 80th anniversary of the anti-fascist victory, the Polish Tourism Organization launched a special dual-theme travel route in 2025, combining Chopin’s music and WWII history. The event provided an in-depth introduction to this initiative, aiming to empower tourism professionals in designing compelling Polish travel experiences tailored to market demand.

Director Chen Jian remarked, "Chopin and WWII are Poland’s eternal themes. As a key witness to WWII history, hosting this event with the Polish Tourism Organization at our museum helps more people understand Poland’s culture and history, as well as Shanghai’s role in rescuing European Jewish refugees, including those from Poland."

At the conclusion of the event, Consul General Bralczyk and participants toured the museum. He noted that the numerous Polish names inscribed on the wall reminded him of the six million Polish citizens lost during the war. "Through this visit, we are not only recalling history but also reflecting on the meaning of peace," he said.

"The over 1,000 Polish Jews who found refuge in Shanghai were witnesses to the precious friendship between the Chinese and Jewish peoples!"
