President of Collège de France Visits the Museum

On February 23, Thomas Römer, President and Professor of the Collège de France visited the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum, accompanied by Huang Wei, Associate Professor of History at Shanghai University, and Jiang Zhenshuai, Associate Professor at the Center for Judaic and Inter-Religious Studies of Shandong University. Director Chen Jian received the delegation and held a discussion.

Professor Römer spoke highly of the museum's significant role in promoting the values of peace and expressed his willingness to facilitate collaboration between the museum and relevant French institutions. He also provided a detailed introduction to Collège de France's cutting-edge research achievements in the field of Hebrew Bible studies.

A renowned scholar in Hebrew Bible studies, Professor Römer has authored 25 monographs, edited 32 academic works, and published over 283 research articles. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to academia, he was awarded the Légion d'honneur (Knight rank), France's highest order of merit.
