On July 2nd, 2018, Ms. Zhang Meifang, Deputy Consul General of China in New York and Mr. Ren Meixing, Director of US Operations of Shanghai Media Group ( SMG ) visited the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Memorial.

Deputy Consul General Zhang Meifang stated: There are numerous Jews in the Unows about this piece of history. We shall boost the publicity of this history so as to allow more Americans to have an insight about it. She also commented that it would have positive effects on promoting Sino - US relations once we make good use of this historical story. Thus, she encouraged us to strengthen the memorial ' s interactions and cooperation with the US.
